Safety Equipment:
Boots, neoprene wetsuit and socks, helmet and harness (equipment daily disinfected).
Swimsuit on and towel.
You can bring a licra shirt (rash vest) to use as a first layer, medication (if required), hairband, snack and water.
Minimum age: 6 years old
Maximum age: 75 years old
Suitable for everyone with a normal health/medical and physical condition (pregnancy is not accepted).
Swimming ability recommended but not required.
Consider the meeting point at the parking lot of Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeirões (you’ll see a waterfall across the street);
Please consider the meeting time and the beginning of the activity according to the time of year.
– Low season (November – March) – 9:30 am;
– High season (April – October) – 9:00 am.
We can offer a transportation service in the Ponta Delgada area, subject to the payment of an extra fee.
Transport to and from areas outside of Ponta Delgada depend on the availability and the fare increases depending on the location.
The activity will depend on the weather conditions, water levels or any other unforeseen circumstances.
Our main location is in Ribeira Grande, where we normally have the best conditions.
For logistic reasons (such as water level) we might have to change our activity location to Ribeira dos Caldeirões, Nordeste.
